One hundred and eleven faces, no answer

It Gesicht fan Fryslan began with a question that sounds simple until you try to answer it through people.

The project does not search for one definitive Frisian face. It shows that identity is carried by many people at once: in age, work, memory, place, language and character.

After 111 portraits, the answer is not a type. It is a collection of people who together make the question richer than any single definition could.
